Job summary

Cardinal Health in Aurora, IL is hiring for a warehouse operations role. The facility supports pharmaceutical supply chain and warehouse operations, focusing on receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, and delivery of products.

You will join a team that fulfills orders to ensure customers have the products they need to care for patients, with training provided from day one and opportunities to work with various equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience.
• Training provided starting your first day.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established processes to fulfill orders, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse or participating in projects as needed.
• Occasionally wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse.
• Work in cold temperatures during parts of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Be willing to train and be certified to operate material handling equipment (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider).

Job description

Schedule : Tuesday-Thursday from 7:00am-3:30pm (or until work finish), Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm (or until work finish), and Saturdays from 5:30am-2:00pm (or until work finish).

Pay Rate : $20.85 per hour.

What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow established process to fulfill orders. This includes accurately picking products, performing quality control checks, packing products, and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse and/or participating in projects as assigned by your manager or other management team member as needed.
• May be required to occasionally wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse while performing certain job duties.
• May be responsible for working in cold temperatures throughout segments of the shift.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Willingness to train and be certified to drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift
• Must be flexible to work overtime as needed
• Ability to follow direction and change priorities
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established performance quotas and attendance requirements
• Experience working with technologies, like computers or point of sale systems, a plus
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
