Full-time Overtime Available Opportunity for Advancement
About Matus International
Matus International is a family-owned logistics and export company with roots dating back to 1994. Today we're 200+ team members strong across seven offices, shipping vehicles, heavy equipment, and cargo to Central America, South America, and the Caribbean - and we're growing. As we expand, we need dependable people ready to grow with us.
Why Join Us:
- Real growth, not just a job. We promote from within — reliability and hard work here can lead to team captain, supervisor, and beyond as we expand.
- Stability you can build on. Full-time, steady work with a company that's been around for over 30 years and isn't slowing down.
- Overtime pay. Extra hours on the schedule mean extra pay in your check.
- We invest in our people. Paid on-the-job training, safety gear provided, and a full benefits package.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with team members to safely and efficiently load at least 5 motor vehicle containers daily.
- Work Environment: All loading operations are conducted indoors within a covered warehouse facility.
- Partner with your team captain on daily container planning to arrange vehicles securely for damage-free loading.
- Construct vehicle loading ramps by cutting lumber, readying straps and hooks, and operating nail guns.
- Prepare required materials each morning in advance of loading operations.
- Safely run machinery and tools, including forklifts, yard movers, miter saws, and nail guns.
- Comply strictly with internal safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Maintain an orderly warehouse and yard space while staging vehicles for upcoming shifts.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as directed by management.
Who We're Looking For:
- You don't need both of these — either background works:
- Experience loading vehicles into shipping containers, OR
- Construction or carpentry experience with power tools (nail gun, miter saw) and building wood framing/structures.
- You’ll also need to:
- Be comfortable working outdoors and inside containers in all weather conditions.
- Be able to stand, walk, and lift heavy items for extended periods.
- Speak both Spanish and English.
- Hold a valid forklift certification (preferred, not required).
- Bring strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork.
- Be available for a flexible schedule. This role is not a standard 9-to-5 - see Schedule below.
