Job summary

Brame Specialty Company Inc. seeks a Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver to pick, pack, and ship supplies, transport to customers, and maintain accurate inventory.

The role operates on a Monday–Friday schedule with no night or weekend shifts, requiring compliance with DOT standards and safe driving practices. TYPICAL DUTIES include loading and unloading, performing quality checks, maintaining routes, and ensuring timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • DOT card required.
  • CDL preferred and Hazmat a plus.
  • 1+ year delivery experience with 26 ft box trucks.
  • 1–2 years in warehouse setting.
  • Experience with forklifts and material-handling equipment.
  • Familiar with RF scan guns and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspections on incoming/outgoing items.
  • Sort and store materials per inventory procedures.
  • Pick, pack, ship products accurately.

Job description

Responsible for accurately and quickly picking, packing, and shipping supplies and materials to customers. Safely and efficiently transports, sorts, and stocks materials. Delivers products to customers using a 26-foot box truck, operating Monday through Friday with no night or weekend shifts.

Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver - Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Transport incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas using hand trucks, forklifts, reach trucks, stock pickers, electric pallet jacks, and pallet jacks.
  • Perform quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials and products.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
  • Pick, pack, and ship products efficiently and accurately.
  • Process all packages for shipping and handle returned merchandise.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
  • Check products in accordance with receiving paperwork and crosscheck purchase orders against packing lists.
  • Label inventory as needed.
  • Manage delivery routes that include multiple customers and locations.
  • Ensure accurate delivery and placement of products to designated addresses, securing proof of delivery through signatures and photographs using a handheld device.
  • Facilitate the collection of customer returns or new products from vendors as required.
  • Conduct comprehensive pre/post-trip inspections of the delivery vehicle.
  • Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and requirements.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver - Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid DOT card.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred.
  • Hazmat endorsement is a plus.
  • Minimum of one year delivery experience safely operating 26 ft box trucks.

  • One to two years of related experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Prior experience with material handling equipment such as sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and stock pickers.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Experience using handheld RF scan guns and basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive safely.
  • Proficiency in using navigation tools such as GPS and smartphone apps.
  • Ability to follow delivery routes and instructions diligently.
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • Positive and professional attitude with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Must wear steel or composite toe shoes.
  • Ability to pass company background screening, motor vehicle report and drug testing requirements.
Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver Working Environment:
  • Ability to withstand exposure to weather conditions – hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy.
  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for at least 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to walk/stand for at least 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to unload packages in various weather conditions using a pallet jack or hand truck.
  • Most work occurs in a warehouse with varying temperatures and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Some areas may become dusty if products are stationary.
Warehouse Associate/Backup Delivery Driver Physical Demands:
  • Lift and move at least 75 pounds without assistance, up to 130 pounds with help.
  • Pick, pack, and stack 100-1000 boxes daily.
  • Engage in climbing, sitting, lifting, walking, stooping, bending, overhead lifting, and stair climbing.
  • Operate and climb into forklifts.
  • Stand for extended periods.
