Viking Electric in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Warehouse and Non-CDL Driver to support local deliveries and warehouse operations. You will inspect vehicles, load and unload, and build strong customer relationships while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role runs 11am-7pm (driving hours 4am-noon some weeks) with a competitive hourly wage and comprehensive benefits. 21+ and a valid Class D license are required.

Warehouse and Non- CDL Driver

Location: Eau Claire, WI

Job type: Full time

License: Class D License required

Vehicle Type: Box truck/cargo van

Schedule: 11am-7pm, Monday-Friday when not driving. Driving hours 4am to noon , 5-9 weeks a year.

Hourly pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hr

Distance: Local deliveries - return home each night

What You’ll Do

As a driver, you play a vital role in delivering essential electrical products from our warehouse to our valued customers. Each day begins with a thorough pre-trip inspection of your delivery vehicle, followed by loading materials and packages to prepare for the day ahead. You will make local deliveries, contacting customers upon arrival and assisting them with unloading. As the face of our company, you’ll build strong relationships with customers who rely on your service and support.

You will…

• Conduct vehicle inspections at the start and end of your route
• Transport and deliver products to customers with care
• Unload items such as wire, pipe, conduit, and boxes during deliveries
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor with customers

As a warehouse associate, you’re key to driving a great customer experience by getting products from our warehouse to our customers. As orders come in, you help fill them accurately by finding the right products and getting them packaged and onto our trucks. You’ll work in a positive, fast-paced environment with a supportive team.

You will…

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, or other device (no experience required - we provide training)
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license - Class D
• Be at least 21 years old
• Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles
• Ability to lift packages that could weigh up to 85 pounds
• Ability to pass and maintain Department of Transportation (DOT) physical with our physician network.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers)
• Basic English communication skills
• Willingness to learn how to operate equipment (we provide training)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred, But Not Required

• 1 year of related experience and/or training
