AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Warehouse Associate resilient flooring plant in Kankakee, IL. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assembling, loading, receiving and properly labeling pallets in a manner prescribed by customers in the shipping department by performing the following duties.
PAY: $20.56 - $26.73 PER HOUR
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:
- Responsible for following Job Safety Analysis guidelines to assure safe operations
- Perform all required pre-shift safety check of the forklift or other equipment
- Work and alwaysoperatein safe manner
- Participate in safety training and receive instruction through hands-on demonstration and/or classroom lecture, asrequired
- Able tooperatefork and reach trucks. Spotter truck and TRT experience would be a plus
- Assemble orders; load and thread stretch-wrap machine.
- Move picked material from storage locations to the floor. Assemble and properly label pallets inmannerprescribedbycustomer.
- Remove empty pallets andstretch-wrapfrom racks. Adjustinventoryas necessary.
- Assemble orders: Verify quantity,SKUand lot oftilethrough visual inspection. Pick bulk storage items. Stretch-wrap all outgoing pallets, load trailer and adjust loading pattern to properly distribute weight in trailer. Communicate pertinent issues, including safety concerns to drivers
- Receiving: Verify quantity,SKUand lot on each incoming pallet. Transfer all incoming pallets to theappropriate endrack or storage location. Manually separate mixed SKU incoming pallets andproperly storematerial in designated racks.
- Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts
- Operate palletizer production line: check equipment and supplies (pallets, forklift, stretch-wrap, tag stock, chutes).
- Operate dispatcher system (computer) to perform basic stock inquiry functions, and operator radio data terminal
- Maintain a clean work area
- Able to work any shift and overtime whenrequired
- Possess basic computer skills
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by management
Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a background check, employmentverificationand drug screening
- Positive and Verifiable Work History
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year of experience in a related environment or equivalent training and/or education
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, procedure manuals,SOPand standardwork
- Mustpossessshift and schedule flexibility of regular time (any shift that may include off-hours and/or weekends), and overtime, as needed
- Must agree to follow safety guidelines and wear applicable safetyequipment,e.g., safety glasses, side shields, approved safety shoes, and other PPE as needed.
- Ability to add and subtracttwo-digitnumbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; ability to use a calculator; ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; able to communicate effectively and function in a team-based environment; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
