Job summary

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattresses seeks dedicated individuals for furniture handling roles in Duryea, Luzerne County. Responsibilities include the loading and unloading of furniture and ensuring workspace cleanliness. Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably some experience with material handling equipment like order pickers and electric pallet jacks.

The job requires physical stamina to lift heavy items and offers a supportive, drug and smoke-free environment. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an order picker and electric pallet jack is preferred.
• Ability to lift and handle furniture up to and in excess of 100 lbs.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Offload and load furniture on trailers and within floor locations.
• Maintain workspace by cleaning and recycling materials.
• Perform additional functions as assigned by management.

• Commitment to Raymour & Flanigan's safety policies and procedures.
• Offloading and loading of furniture on trailers, into bins and within floor locations.
• Maintain workspace by sweeping, breaking down boxes, recycling cardboard/ styrofoam
• Ability to become certified on material handling equipment, including order picker and electric pallet jack.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating an order picker and electric pallet jack is preferred.Experience with warehouse management systems is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of furniture up to and in excess of 100 lbs.
• Safely lift furniture merchandise while elevated on warehouse equipment at heights of 30-40 feet above the ground.
