Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Riverhead, NY to accurately receive and pull orders in a fast-paced environment and support deliveries and pickups. You will help load trucks, log shipments, and maintain inventory while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and prior forklift experience. A background in distribution or warehousing is preferred, and you must be able to lift heavy objects and follow instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receive/pull orders accurately in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Assist in loading delivery trucks and preparing orders for delivery or pickup.
• Receive shipments, log into inventory, and maintain stock via audits.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
• Operate forklift safely and maintain certification; perform vehicle safety checks.
• Keep the facility clean, organized, and safe, and assist with other duties as assigned.

Pay: $17 - $20 / hour and up to $2,500 through our performance bonuses

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm+ Rotating Saturdays during summer season 7am - 11am

What to Expect?

The Warehouse Associate supports the team and our customers by accurately and safely receiving/pulling orders in a fast-paced environment.

• Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.
• Assists in loading the delivery truck.
• Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits.
• Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up.
• Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to maneuver heavy objects, some weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Prior forklift experience.
• Follow and carry out instructions with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in distribution, general labor or warehousing preferred.

The compensation range for this position in New York is between $17 and $20 based on a full-time schedule. The actual pay may vary depending on your skills, qualifications and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commissions plans as well as relocation or cost of living adjustments.
