Job summary

Sun Orchard is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Tempe, AZ to move materials, perform unloading/receiving, and support warehouse operations. The role reports to senior staff and requires basic software familiarity and a safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities include using forklifts and hand trucks, entering data in WMS/ERP systems, and contributing to sanitation and inventory activities. A high school diploma or GED is required with 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Associate moves materials within the warehouse and completes other warehouse support tasks. Works under the close direction of senior personnel and possesses a moderate understanding of the general aspects of the job.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

• Perform various warehouse operations include receiving, unloading, put away, picking, replenishing, loading, sanitation, safety, equipment, disposition reports and inventory counts and audits.
• Operates hand trucks, forklifts, scrubbers or other material handling equipment according to safety policies and procedures.
• May view or input information into a warehouse management system (WMS), enterprise resource system (ERP), Tracegains, MFX or other databases and must be able to learn them and work in them.
• Will be responsible for entering information into a software systems via a RDT gun or tablet.
• Pick and Load inbound/outbound movements (pallets, finished goods, WIP, frozen, etc.,) between the Plant and warehouse.
• Add temp loggers to pallets as needed.
• Participate in Master Sanitation requirements.
• Participate in warehouse maintenance and inventory activities (Preliminary and Year End counts).
• Operates all equipment safely, maintaining proper speeds and clearances to ensure all personnel, materials, and equipment are safe at all times.
• Fosters a culture of safety. Reports any unsafe conditions or incidents immediately to management.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications include:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-3 years of Warehouse experience. 1- 3 years experience with a WMS required. Forklift experience required. 1+ year order selecting/picking/loading/unloading experience preferred.
• Language/Communications: Ability to read and interpret instructional details and related information.
• Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Strategic Planning – Ability to identify constraints and resolve obstacles to optimize efficiency.
• Computer Skills: Competency with Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Manufacturing software; and general email writing and online research skills.
• Safety Awareness: Demonstrates and promotes awareness of any safety issue and promptly reports issues to the appropriate lead/supervisor.

Physical Requirements & Environment:

This position is performed in an ambient chilled and frozen warehouse environment. There may be exposure to low temperature, noise, work near moving mechanical parts and forklifts, citrus fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. The employee may be required to stand, walk, twist, pull, push and sit for long periods at a time, wear the proper protective equipment as required, climb a ladder or stairs, hear and communicate readily, use both hands and arms and be able to lift items up to 50+ lbs.. Use of telephone, cell phone, a computer, copier, and other office equipment will be required. Travel including automobile or airplane may also be required.
