Job summary

Accelerated Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Dock Associate in Sterling, VA to support operations in the warehouse and on the docks. You will move freight, use a sit-down forklift, and ensure safety protocols are followed to satisfy customer shipments.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading freight, performing daily forklift inspections, coordinating with dispatch, and documenting deliveries. Benefits start after 60 days with opportunities for growth and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• At least 1-year experience operating a forklift.
• Trucking, Freight, or Logistics industry experience is a plus.
• RF Scanner experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds.
• Must be punctual and dependable.
• Must be able to stand, sit, bend, or squat for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work extended hours if needed.
• Must be able to pass company background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from trailers safely following safety measures.
• Load freight safely by ensuring even weight distribution and proper stacking.
• Unload freight safely by preventing damages and operating forklift in reverse safely.
• Complete daily forklift inspections at start of each shift.
• Communicate with dispatch for daily duties/projects.
• Sweep trailers and dock; note any damages.
• Fill out proof of delivery paperwork and acceptance forms.
