Job description

Meter is scaling fast and we’re building the next-generation utility for internet infrastructure. That starts here, in our distribution center. You’re not just moving boxes, you're moving the business forward. If you’re someone who likes to build, improve, and grow with a company, someone who’s curious about how things work and eager to help them work better, this role is made for you. You’ll be at the center of a vertically integrated operation where what you ship doesn’t just leave the building, it launches something real in the world. We’re not just filling shifts, we're operations thinkers.

What success looks like
  • Fine tune our shipping process and keep shipping errors and inventory discrepancies to near zero your work sets the gold standard
  • Keep fulfillment on track even as volume doubles you’ll help shape and evolve our processes as we scale
  • Spot workflow bottlenecks and suggest fixes. Your ideas will directly influence how we work.

We'll know it's working if

  • You hit or exceed throughput targets week over week
  • Inventory stays accurate with <1% variance
  • You help reduce rework and missed shipments with your eye for detail
  • Your teammates trust you to own your lane
What your day-to-day will look like

You’ll spend most of your time hands-on: picking, packing, and prepping hardware to ship worldwide. But you won’t just do tasks, you'll help us build better systems.

  • Receive and inventory consumables with care and accuracy
  • Pack up shipments that meet tight specs and even tighter timelines
  • Keep our digital inventory systems clean and up-to-date
  • Flag gaps, pitch improvements, and test new workflows with the team

You’ll be part of a close-knit warehouse team, working alongside your teammates to get things out the door smarter, faster, better.

Who you are
  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment and keep your cool when it gets busy
  • You like learning new tools and systems
  • You want to do more than repeat tasks; you want to improve them.
  • You’re reliable, detail-oriented, and hands-on
  • You’re comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and working on your feet
  • You communicate clearly and work well with others
Why Meter?

The internet runs the world. Every email you send, purchase you make, video call you join—it’s all packets flowing through networks. But those networks haven’t changed for decades. They’re brittle, complex, and surprisingly hard to set up in an enterprise space.

We started Meter to build better networks. We had to build everything from the ground-up: designing and building our own enterprise hardware, intuitive software, and streamlined operations to deliver great outcomes for our customers. Today, we build and deploy these networks at scale. Ambitious companies and enduring institutions like Bridgewater, Lyft, Reddit, rely on Meter to keep their thousands of employees and locations online and productive.

Our bet with Meter is simple: we will all use the internet more than we do today. We believe we have the definitive networking stack in place to enable business to do so as seamlessly and reliably as any modern utility.

Compensation
  • The estimated hourly pay rate for this role is $22 - $25 an hour.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Meter's equity plan.
