Job summary

GEODIS is hiring a Warehouse Associate / Material Handler in Riverside, CA. The role involves receiving, storing, moving and distributing materials, and assembling customer orders from stock for pallets or packing.

You will read production and shipping orders to determine items to move, and transport materials between receiving, storage, and shipping areas. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read schedules and follow simple instructions.

What you will be doing:

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.
• Read production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place on pallets or shelves, or convey order to packing station or shipping department.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency.
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one‑ or two‑step instructions.
• Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to use hands, sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk or hear.
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to be exposed to non‑climate‑controlled environments.
