Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Temporary to Permanent Full Time Material Handler to join a fast-paced warehouse team. The role uses scanners and pallet jacks to manage aerospace components, with a second shift 1:30pm-10:00pm and weekly pay.

Responsibilities include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting, while maintaining safety and quality. A valid forklift license and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Operate within contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ryder is hiring a Temporary to Permanent Full Time Material Handler in Phoenix, Arizona — offering weekly pay and a career you can feel good about.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay: $17.00 per hour

• Overtime Pay: $25.50 per hour

• Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour when assigned to Second Shift

• Additional Pay: $0.50 per hour when converted to full time after 90 days

• Schedule: Second Shift Monday - Friday and every other Saturday as needed, 1:30pm - 10:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
