Job summary

National Oak Distributors seeks a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support receiving, warehousing and shipping activities. You will handle order picking, packaging and labeling, using RF scanners, and maintain accurate inventory with strong communication.

The role emphasizes efficiency, accuracy and teamwork in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on safety and customer service. This position is on-site and essential to our expanded automotive aftermarket distribution operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
• Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated locations, ensuring proper warehousing procedures.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently, adhering to shipping guidelines.
• Prepare shipments for dispatch, including packaging and labeling, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations.
• Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely and effectively.
• Perform cycle counting and inventory management tasks to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring the safe handling of goods.
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including housekeeping duties.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and data entry.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
• General knowledge of inventory management principles.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Proficiency in using RF scanners.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and order processing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
• Experience with order picking and packaging.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with palletizing.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to be detail-oriented.
