Job summary

Sherwood Companies in Oklahoma City is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, process, store, and ship inventory according to purchase orders and schedules. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and timely handling of goods in a dynamic warehouse environment.

You will load and unload deliveries, inspect items for damage, and assist with order pulling and site deliveries as needed. A valid driver's license and comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe.
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
• Accepting delivery and storing of inventory.
• Inspecting inventory for damage and faults.
• Assemble, build signs and signals.
• Pre-trip inspections.
• Sign in keys, equipment, power tools, small engine.
• Pulling orders for foreman per pick tickets, deliver to job sites as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities/Experience:

• Valid Driver’s License.
• Forklift and standard transmission experience are a plus.
• Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills which assist with working closely with co-workers.
• Ability to listen to, understand and follow directions so safety is maintained.

Working Conditions:

• Inside Warehouse and/or outdoors- Heat/cold.
• Physical effort/lifting- up to 50 pounds.
