Job summary

Walker's Fresh Foods in North Kansas City, MO is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle picking orders, rotate products and receive raw materials. This role supports a busy production environment and requires accuracy and safety.

You will work with the Materials Manager, maintain GMPs, and help keep shipping and receiving on schedule. Training is available; prior experience isn’t required, and a positive attitude is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
• Ability to lift and bend as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good housekeeping at all times (safe working environment).
• Assist with implementation of changes, new methods and automated systems as appropriate.
• Ensure work instructions are being followed.
• Ensure performance meets daily targets (safety, cost, quality).
• Identify unsafe conditions and/or behaviors and take action to resolve.
• Work closely with Materials Manager to identify and correct inventory inaccuracies.
• Be proactive and look for ways to cut costs and streamline processes.
• Ensure all GMP's are being followed.
• Maintain accurate recording of required paperwork.
• Ensure both shipping and receiving functions/tasks are accurately completed and on time.
• Maintain all warehouses, freezers, storage trailers and docks to GMP's and established standards.

Walker's Fresh Foods is a manufacturer of various Salads and more. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle picking orders, rotating products and receiving raw materials.

Hours 5A-2P MON-THURS AND FRIDAY 5A-12P

Job type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour

General Responsibilities and Duties:

• Maintain good housekeeping at all times (safe working environment)
• Assist with implementation of changes, new methods and automated systems as appropriate

• Ensure performance meets daily targets (safety, cost, quality)
• Identify unsafe conditions and/or behaviors and take action to resolve
• Work closely with Materials Manager to identify and correct inventory inaccuracies
• Be proactive and look for ways to cut costs and streamline processes
• Ensure all GMP's are being followed
• Maintain accurate recording of required paperwork
• Ensure both shipping and receiving functions/tasks are accurately completed and on time
• Maintain all warehouses, freezers, storage trailers and docks to GMP's and established standards
• Communicate with Driver as to what materials need to be transferred from one facility to another

• High school diploma preferred
• Spanish language a plus
