Job summary

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, Inc., is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Nashville to join our team. You will own a variety of material handling duties, including receiving, loading/unloading, pulling/assembling customer orders, and performing inventory checks, with daily forklift operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic math, organization, customer service skills; fluency in English; detail-oriented and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties: pull/assemble orders, check outbound orders, stock and replenish inventory, label products, restock displays, move and store material, and conduct daily cycle counts.
• Perform receiving duties: unload inbound material, process shipments, stock material, handle returns, and report damaged shipments.
• Maintain a clean, organized facility: sweep, remove trash, restroom and office upkeep.
• May assist customers at times and prepare sales slips.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following Safety Program rules and reporting hazards.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Warehouse Associate to join our TEAM! As the Warehouse Associate, we need someone who will own a variety of material handling duties such as receiving, loading/unloading material, pulling/assembling customers' orders, and performing inventory checks. This position involves daily use of forklift equipment.

Primary Objective

Performs various material handling duties associated with the warehouse.

Primary Function and Scope

• Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor product, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts.
• Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims.
• Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, removing trash, performing restroom and general office maintenance, etc.
• May wait on customers and prepare sales slips.
• Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High School diploma or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of previous warehouse experience preferred.

Basic math skills, organization skills, customer service skills, fluency in English, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may sit, climb, balance, talk, or hear. The associate must have the ability to regularly lift up to 15-30 lbs, and at certain times, you may be required to safely lift to 70 lbs. Tile boxes or other materials that are longer than 36 inches or more than 70 lbs. in weight require a team lift. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
