Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Nashville seeks a Warehouse Associate to support a fast-paced distribution center. You will handle receiving, stocking, picking orders, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining an orderly warehouse.

The position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a willingness to learn warehouse processes, including UPS/LTL shipments and basic computer systems.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 pounds and handle material safely.
• Demonstrate basic mechanical skills and ability to use standard warehouse tools.
• Willingness to learn wire-cutting and industry-specific tasks in the warehouse.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist during shifts.
• Work on concrete floors for the full shift.
• Climb ladders to pull material when needed.
• Perform basic math for counting and inventory tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take walk-in customer orders in person or over the phone.
• Build familiarity with new and returning customers.
• Pick up material from vendors and receive incoming freight.
• Stock material on shelves and keep the warehouse clean and organized.
• Process orders and pick items for shipments.
• Assist with returns from customers and to vendors.
• Operate a Microsoft-based computer system.

Summary:

Looking for an associate to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where every day is different. Will work in warehouse, deliver shipments, move merchandise, receive & unload trucks, load trucks, cleanup work area, wrap & ship by UPS & LTL daily.

Hard working, team oriented and self-starting are a must.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Willingness to learn how to cut wire and perform industry specific tasks in our warehouse is key.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist
• Ability to work on concrete floor for entire shift
• Ability to climb ladders to pull material
• Basic math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to operate a forklift and complete/pass driver requirements for CED.

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $22 hourly.
