Job summary

Wastequip Mount Sterling is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join a skilled manufacturing team in the garbage truck and container industry. Shift hours are 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with an hourly rate of $18.00 plus a $2 shift differential.

You will handle raw materials, read batch sheets, count and prepare orders, load/unload, and use a computer to enter records. Forklift experience is a plus and a high school diploma is required. 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Must be 18 or over.

Responsibilities

• Handle and deliver raw materials and parts to departments including shipping, loading and receiving.
• Read batch sheets/customer orders to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Count, weigh, measure, or examine packaging and contents of items for conformance to company specifications.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or convey orders to packing station or shipping department.
• Compare items packed with customer's order and other identifying data.
• Use computer to enter records.
• Examine stock and shipment details to verify conformance to Vendor Compliance.
• Assist with proper product procedures such as bagging, labeling, and boxing.
• Fasten postage to outbound packages.
• Work overtime if required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Unload, check‑in, count and sort incoming products to verify receipt on bill of lading and packing lists.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience (a plus).
• Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Must be 18 or over.

Physical Demands

• Walk and stand for long periods.
• Use hands/arms to reach for and handle merchandise and materials.
• Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Regularly lift, push and/or pull up to 10 pounds; occasionally up to 40 pounds; and infrequently up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Moderate noise levels from the distribution center’s mechanical and computer equipment. Work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally from high locations. Operate in environments with high temperatures (and occasionally cold temperatures).
