Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Maple Grove, MN is hiring a General Warehouse Associate. Earn $19.25 per hour with first shift 6:00am–2:30pm, Sunday–Tuesday and Thursday–Friday. Weekly pay, paid training, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO from month 1, and employee discounts.

Safety gear provided and a team-focused environment. Responsibilities include packing, loading/unloading trailers, scanning, and supporting warehouse operations with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Six months of related warehouse experience required.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Powered industrial truck certification is required.
• Ability to read and perform basic math in English for safety and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• WMS data entry and basic data handling will be used.
• Operate and maintain powered industrial trucks and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers and ensure scanning accuracy.
• Train dock employees on new procedures and maintain security at end of shift.
• Perform picking and packing duties and address scanning issues.
• Support housekeeping and continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Six months of related warehouse experience required
• One (1) year or more related warehouse experience preferred
• Learn to operate powered industrial truck(s), such as: stand-up and sit-down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, etc., including how to operate and maintain (change battery, recognize common mechanical issues) intermediate required
• May be required to operate manual and/or automated other warehouse/manufacturing equipment (such as a packaging line) intermediate preferred
• Powered industrial truck certification
• Ability to read, do basic mathematics in English for the purpose of safety, work instructions, policies, etc
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to input data into the WMS computer system (s) in use
• Work overtime as assigned
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
• Ability to work independently and as member of a team

Responsibilities

• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers. Ensure all scanning is completed correctly. Help train dock employees on new procedures. Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping. Perform picking and packing duties. Check for evidence of product or container damage
• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required
• Participate in workgroup and other team activities for the purpose of self improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions
• Perform housekeeping duties for assigned area
• Performs other duties as assigned
