Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Manor, Texas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to pick, pack, and prep shipments. You will use order systems, inspect items, and apply accurate labels for outgoing goods.

This role may involve operating a forklift and performingInventory/Cycle Counts. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are preferred; background and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• Able to complete physical tasks (stooping, walking, lifting up to 50lbs).
• Pass Background and Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders for shipment with correct product type.
• Measure, weigh, and count products.
• May operate a forklift/order picker.
• Pack orders for shipments via parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.
• Record order information on forms and records.
• Affix proper shipping labels to boxes and pallets.
• Inspect containers and packing to meet specifications.
• Participate in Inventory/Cycle Count as needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat work area and be inspection ready.

About the Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking and/or packing orders, label printing and inspecting products for orders, and utilizing specific equipment to pick, pack, and kit products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs.

Functions

• Pick orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
• May be required to operate a forklift or order picker for picking orders.
• Pack orders for shipments by parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Affix proper shipping and tracking labels to boxes and pallets.
• Mark and label shipping boxes or products per DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
• Report missing items or quality variances to direct supervisor.
• Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Execute and document quality inspections per Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in Inventory/Cycle Count as needed.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
• Communicate and report any incidents.
• May perform housekeeping duties.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
