The position involves pulling orders, loading/unloading trucks, and basic vehicle maintenance, with potential driving duties and exposure to plumbing/HVAC materials.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager and the Warehouse Supervisor
• Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Thoroughly inspect and count incoming materials
• Inspect, sort and store materials, equipment and tools
• Perform backup delivery driving duties
• Pull orders from lists
• Load and unload trucks, manually and with mechanical means such as forklift and pallet jacks
• Basic vehicle maintenance
• Minor tool and equipment repair

Job description

As a mechanical contractor, we install heating and cooling (HVAC) systems, plumbing systems, and medical gas systems. Our warehouse is small but active and extremely involved in supporting our plumbers, pipe fitters, and service technicians.

We are looking for a highly dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team!

Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Support the Warehouse Manager and the Warehouse Supervisor
• Assist with incoming and outgoing deliveries
• Thoroughly inspect and count incoming materials
• Inspect, sort and store materials, equipment and tools
• Perform backup delivery driving duties
• Pull orders from lists
• Load and unload trucks, manually and with mechanical means such as forklift and pallet jacks
• Basic vehicle maintenance
• Minor tool and equipment repair

Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Proven ability to pull a trailer
• Familiarity of the Northern Virginia area and roads is a plus
• Excellent attendance
