Job summary

Carrier Enterprise in Knightdale, NC is seeking a 2nd shift Branch Warehouse Associate to support counter sales, customer service, and warehouse operations. You will help ensure accurate inventory, assist customers at the counter, and process orders with Branch Sales Associates.

The role emphasizes safe forklift operation, FIFO inventory practices, and teamwork to maintain efficient store operations. HS diploma and 1+ year warehouse/HVAC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, solutions-oriented approach.
• Ability to operate and prior experience with warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (certification required)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly, assist with orders and returns, and manage phone inquiries with accurate, timely responses.
• Partner with Branch Sales Associates to process orders, quotes, invoices, and purchase orders using CE computerized systems.
• Manage the customer pickup area, stage outgoing orders accurately, and safely load or unload delivery trucks as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming shipments while maintaining precise stock levels through routine inventory counts.
• Follow First In, First Out (FIFO) inventory practices to optimize product rotation and minimize loss.
• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment in strict compliance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment consistent with CE operational standards.

The Branch Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting efficient branch operations and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position combines counter sales, customer support, and warehouse logistics to ensure smooth day-to-day performance. The associate may provide assistance to customers at the counter, manages the customer pick-up area, partners with Branch Sales Associates to process orders as needed, supports inventory management, and helps maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse environment. By promoting operational accuracy, timely service, and strong product knowledge, this role directly contributes to the success of the wholesale branch. This position is eligible for monthly performance-based bonuses and incentives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with team members to support daily operations, assist colleagues during peak periods, and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Stay current on HVAC system components, product lines, and industry trends by participating in ongoing product and skills training.

Qualifications:

Requirements

• 1 Year of HVAC, Warehouse, or related experience
• Basic proficiency in computerized inventory, point-of-sale and order management systems.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
