Job summary

Wayfair is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Kent, WA. The role supports fast-paced fulfillment, moving a range of items from small parcels to large furniture. You’ll be cross-trained across functions from inbound receipt to final-mile preparation, in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities include loading and moving items, using scanners and warehouse software, and performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and protection of goods. The position offers potential for overtime and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Stand, walk, bend, lift, and work a full shift (8+ hours) in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
• Basic reading and comprehension of English for safety.
• Preferred warehouse/logistics experience; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic ability to use computers and handheld inventory devices.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, unload, and move furniture orders and inventory; lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and up to 150 lbs with team lifting.
• Use scanners, handheld devices, and warehouse software to track inventory and locations.
• Perform quality control, packaging, labeling, and sorting to prevent damage before shipping.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S work area and follow safety procedures.

What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)

• Handling & Movement: Safely load, unload, and move large and small furniture orders and inventory of various sizes. This will involve manually lifting items up to 75 lbs. unassisted and maneuvering/team lifting products up to 150 lbs.
• Technology & Inventory: Utilize scanners, handheld devices (e.g., Nexus), and warehouse software to accurately track, process, and update inventory and order locations across all operational stages.
• Quality & Preparation: Perform comprehensive quality control tasks, which may include inspecting, assembling (deluxing), repackaging, labeling, and sorting products to prevent damage before shipping.
• Safety & Teamwork: Strictly adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S) to ensure safety and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

• Physical Capability:
• The ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work a full shift (8+ hours a day) in a dynamic, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
• The ability to frequently lift and move merchandise up to 75+ lbs. unassisted.
• Able to read and comprehend English to ensure your safety and the safety of those working around you.
• Experience (Preferred): Previous warehouse, logistics, or comparable experience is preferred. A High School Diploma or GED is also preferred.
• Technical Skills: Basic ability to use computers, tablets, and handheld inventory devices is essential.
