Job summary

Farmland Fresh Dairies, LLC. is seeking an entry-level warehouse associate to prepare orders, process requests, pick items, pack, and place orders within designated areas.

The role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory through basic warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include unloading trucks, matching purchase orders to sales orders, assembling customer orders, labeling, moving materials, maintaining safety, and keeping the work area clean and organized.

Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders and distributing to sales associates for processing.
  • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver storage area.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • Sweep, dust, and mop.
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.
  • Wear the proper safety equipment.
  • Unbox product in an efficient and safe manner utilizing the appropriate tools and safety equipment.
  • Load and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Perfoms pick from trays by customer number reviews orders for shipment, determines and assembles the correct types of product to be shipped
  • Load materials into Trailers and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Ensure standards of quality set by company are followed for all prepackage inventory as well as par stock.
  • Operate all warehouse equipment in a safe manner.
  • Handle all inventory in a manner that reduces exposure to damage.
  • Wrap pallets with shrink wrap in preparation for outgoing loads for placement on route delivery
  • Load route trucks and semi-trailers with battery-operated forklift and /or pallet jack, moving product in and out of the warehouse as required.
  • Move product to storage areas using the proper equipment, efficiently stacks, and stores the product in the appropriate area according to established sequences and procedures
  • Ensure items are stored in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Keep Warehouse clean at all time, mops, paints and removal of all cardboard boxes to compressor.
