Job summary

National Carwash Solutions in Grimes, IA is seeking a Warehouse Associate to manage inventory, shipping, and receiving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, pick and pack items, label and document transactions, and help maintain a safe, organized workspace compliant with 6S and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• MRP system and scanner experience preferred.
• Data entry and general computer use demonstrated.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to work in a team environment and cooperate with others.
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage activities related to picking, packing, shipping, receiving and restocking inventory.
• Post transactions accurately when moving products.
• Package, label items correctly and ensure safety in handling for shipping.
• Load cargo safely and efficiently to prevent damage in transit.
• Build wood crates or pallets for equipment shipments.
• Inspect products for defects and report issues to management.
• Verify inventory counts and perform physical inventory as needed.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack or other equipment as required.
• Support general warehouse duties and maintain 6S housekeeping.
• Comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT and company safety policies.

As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for managing processes for our warehouse inventory, shipping, and receiving.

Job Duties:

• Responsible for activities related to picking, packing, shipping, receiving and restocking inventory of raw materials, fabricated parts, and equipment
• Responsible for accurately posting transactions when moving products
• Package and label items correctly, safely, and in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Ensure all cargo is loaded safely and in a manner that prevents damage in transit
• Build wood crates or pallets by physically measuring and cutting lumber, for equipment to be shipped in
• Inspect product for defects or damage; Report damage or missing inventory to management team
• Verify inventory counts and physical inventory as needed
• Operate forklift, pallet jack or other equipment as needed
• Other general warehouse duties as assigned
• Assist with the organization and good housekeeping of the NCS facility (6S practices)
• Comply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, DOT, local regulatory laws, and company safety policies
• Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any time

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• MRP System and scanner experience, preferred
• Experience with data entry and general use on computer systems
• Ability to safely operate various hand and power tools
• Ability to interact well with customers, vendors, and fellow employees
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work assigned hours plus overtime as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift medium weight up to 50 lbs
• May stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulations
• Ability to climb ladders safely
• May sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
