Job summary

FM Expressions is hiring a Seasonal Quality Control Inspector to join our production team. This full-time seasonal role focuses on ensuring finished and in-process products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

You will inspect products, document concerns, and collaborate with production to prevent defects. The position is a temporary, overtime-possible role designed to support production during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to inspect, document, and communicate quality concerns.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, inspect, label, and organize incoming shipments.
• Check inventory for damages and maintain records.
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately by quantity and specs.
• Move products to storage areas or production floor.
• Build, wrap, label, and palletize for shipment.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Handle merchandise with care, including fragile items.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
• Use barcode scanners and inventory tools for tracking.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Communicate with team members and other departments.
• Follow safety procedures while operating equipment.
• Perform other warehouse tasks as assigned.

Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Schedule: 8:00AM - 4:30PM
FLSA: Non-Exempt

Are you detail-oriented, quality-focused, and enjoy hands-on work? FM Expressions is looking for a Seasonal Quality Control Inspector to join our production team!

In this role, you'll help ensure that our finished and in-process products meet FM Expressions' quality standards, customer specifications, and production requirements. You'll inspect products, identify defects, document quality concerns, and work closely with our production team to help prevent quality issues and ensure customers receive accurate, high-quality products.

This is a full-time seasonal opportunity designed to support our production needs during a busy period. Candidates should be comfortable with the temporary nature of the position and the possibility of working overtime as needed based on production demands.

What You'll Do

• Receive, unload, inspect, label, and organize incoming shipments
• Check inventory for damages and maintain accurate inventory records
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately according to quantity, size, and specifications
• Move products and raw materials to designated storage areas or the production floor
• Build, wrap, label, and prepare pallets for shipment
• Load and unload delivery trucks
• Package and handle merchandise carefully, including fragile products
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment
• Use barcode scanners, computers, and inventory management tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with team members, distributors, and other departments
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and performing assigned tasks
• Perform other warehouse and facility-related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to accurately inspect products and inventory
• Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
• Ability to bend, twist, reach, pull, and work above and below the knees
• Ability to lift, move, load, and place materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Previous warehouse or related experience preferred
• Valid forklift certification preferred
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Tools & Equipment

• Forklift and other material-handling equipment.
• Laptop/computer provided by FM Expressions.
• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by FM Expressions.

Work Environment

FM Expressions facilities are well-lit and well-ventilated. This position works primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment and requires extended periods of standing and physical activity.

Employees may be exposed to moderate to loud noise, moving mechanical equipment, fumes, chemicals, heat, and cold. Working around large machinery and powered industrial equipment can present hazards, so employees are expected to consistently follow all safety procedures and maintain safe work practices.
