Job summary

GEODIS is hiring for an on-site warehouse associate in Florida. You will receive, store, move, and distribute materials, read schedules and orders, and prepare customer orders for packing and shipping. This role requires basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience.
• Ability to perform operations using units of currency and weight.
• Ability to follow simple instructions with minimal variables.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials.
• Read production schedules, orders, and shipping documents to determine items to move.
• Convey materials from receiving/production to storage or other areas.
• Sort and place materials on racks or shelves by size, type, or code.
• Assemble customer orders and prepare for packing or shipping.

What you will be doing:

• Receiving, storing, moving, and distributing materials
• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places on pallets or shelves, or conveys order to packing station or shipping department

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
• Minimum 1 to 3 months of related experience
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement, volume, and distance
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
• Ability to complete duties with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
• Ability to use hands, sit, reach, stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch, talk or hear
• Regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be exposed to non-climate-controlled environments
