Job summary

Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to join its busy warehouse team. You will move merchandise, receive and unload trucks, load shipments, and wrap and ship orders via UPS and LTL daily while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

The ideal candidate is hardworking, team-oriented and self-starting, with the ability to lift 60 pounds, perform basic math, and quickly learn wire-cutting and other industry tasks. Forklift experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
• Good mechanical skills required.
• Willing to learn wire cutting and warehouse tasks.
• Able to squat, kneel, bend, and twist.
• Able to work on concrete floors all shift.
• Climb ladders to pull material.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Clean background check.

Responsibilities

• Take walk-in customer orders in person or by phone.
• Build familiarity with new and returning customers.
• Pick up material from vendors.
• Receive incoming freight.
• Keep a clean and organized warehouse.
• Stock material on shelves.
• Picking orders.
• Processing returns from customers and to vendors.
• Operate a Microsoft-based computer system.

Summary:

Looking for an associate to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment where every day is different. Will work in warehouse, move merchandise, receive & unload trucks, load trucks, cleanup work area, wrap & ship by UPS & LTL daily.

Hard working, team oriented and self-starting are a must.

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 60 pounds.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Willingness to learn how to cut wire and perform industry specific tasks in our warehouse is key.
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, and twist
• Ability to work on concrete floor for entire shift
• Ability to climb ladders to pull material
• Basic math skills
• Clean criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to operate a forklift

Working Conditions:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

Compensation Range:

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $22 hourly.
