Job summary

Spork Food Hub in Davis, CA is seeking a warehouse associate to help pack orders, load trucks, and ensure fresh produce is received, stored, and shipped with care. You will work in a small team, maintain accuracy, and uphold safety standards while moving produce across multiple weather conditions.

This role offers hourly pay of $20–$24 depending on experience, plus a produce share, retirement plan, and paid time off after certain milestones.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, kneel, squat, and stand for 8 hours.
• Working knowledge of produce, varietal types, storage temps and handling.
• Experience operating pallet jack; forklift experience a plus.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Spork food hub exists to create access to food to those who need it most while opening up new markets for farmers. Our main customers are school districts and state prisons and hospitals.

The ideal candidate would be:

• Have a working knowledge of produce, varietal types, storage temps and handling
• Be able to lift 50#, kneel, squat, and be on your feet for 8 hours a day
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions
• Experience operating a pallet jack, stacker packer, and forklift a plus
• Experience driving a 16' and 20' box truck
• Previous warehouse experience a plus

Job Duties:

• Packing orders
• Loading trucks
• Receiving/ checking quality of produce
• Deliveries in box trucks or vans
• Warehouse cleaning

Compensation:

• Hourly $20-$24/hr DOE
• Produce share
• Retirement plan, 5 days Vacation after one year, 10 after two years, 6 sick days upon hire.
