Job summary

Topgum Canada Ltd. in Copiague, NY is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will help with ordering, storing, inventory counts, and packing/shipping of items, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

The role emphasizes proper documentation, adherence to SOPs, and contributing to a clean, safe work environment. A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior warehouse experience preferred;

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse/receiving experience preferred.
• Experience with warehouse equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts.
• Valid forklift certification is preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supply production with raw materials and packaging as required.
• Complete accurate monthly inventory counts.
• Perform inventory counts, cycle counts, and location audits.
• Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments based on SOPs.
• Process receiving, shipping, transfers, returns, and other warehouse transactions.
• Complete necessary paperwork and data entry thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Inspect products for damages; report as needed.
• Tag and label materials.
• Contribute ideas in processes and organization in the warehouse.
• Assemble goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Unload and place products appropriately.
• Report damaged, missing, incorrect products, and missing documentation. Assist with resolving discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
• Cleaning and sanitation duties.
• Follow OSHA, company safety, quality, and operating procedures.
• Assist with warehouse housekeeping and general maintenance in the warehouse.

HOURLY RATE:$18.50 – $24.00
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent | Full-Time , 12 – Hour Shift

The Opportunity

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials including general warehouse labor . Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in warehouse.

What Success Looks Like

• Materials and products are received, stored, and issued accurately and on time.


• Inventory counts and documentation are accurate and up to date.


• Shipping and order preparation are completed efficiently and correctly.


• The warehouse is organized, clean, and operates safely

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inventory & Materials Management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience & Education

• High school graduation or GED required.


• Previous warehouse / receiving experience is preferred.


• Experience with warehouse equipment including but not limited to; hand trucks , pallet jacks , forklifts .

Technical Skills

• Valid forklift certification is preferred.


• Basic computer skills preferred .

Interpersonal Skills

• Strong ability to work as part of a team.


• Strong ability to manage shifting priorities and collaborate with other departments.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for an extended period on a hard surface


• Lift up to 40 lbs.


• Reach, kneel, or crouch


• Ability to work in a 24/7 production environment.


• Be present in manufacturing environment which can be noisy, hot, cold and require PPE.
