Job summary

Topgum Canada Ltd. is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Copiague, NY to support shipping, receiving and materials stocking in a 24/7 production environment. The role involves inventory counts, data entry, and ensuring accurate handling of materials and packaging components.

Salary Range: US$18.50 To US$24.00 Hourly

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Supervisor
HOURLY RATE:$18.50 – $24.00
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent | Full-Time , 12 – Hour Shift
LOCATION: Copiague, NY

The Opportunity

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for assisting with shipping, receiving, and stocking of materials. Assist with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in warehouse.

What Success Looks Like
  • Materials and products are received, stored, and issued accurately and on time.
  • Inventory counts and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Shipping and order preparation are completed efficiently and correctly.
  • The warehouse is organized, clean, and operates safely.
Responsibilities:
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Supply production with raw materials and packaging as required.
  • Complete accurate monthly inventory counts.
  • Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments based on SOPs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and data entry thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Inspect products for damages; report as need.
  • Tag and label materials.
Shipping & Order Preparation
  • Assemble goods to be shipped and prepare identifying information and shipping instructions.
  • Unload and place products appropriately.
Workplace Safety & Cleanliness
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Cleaning and sanitation duties.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education
  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • Previous warehouse / receiving experience.
  • Experience with warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
Technical Skills
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety and operating procedures in food production.
  • Knowledge of basic math as well as English reading and writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse data systems.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Stand or walk for an extended period on a hard surface
  • Lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Reach, kneel, or crouch
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 production environment.
  • Be present in manufacturing environment which can be noisy, hot, cold and require PPE.
