Job summary

Mattress Firm in Charlotte, NC seeks a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. You will load and unload deliveries, stage shipments, and keep the stock area organized and safe. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling inventory, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring quality checks. On-the-job training is provided, with opportunities for growth within the distribution network.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years general work experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload product from delivery trucks and vendor shipments.
  • Stage deliveries.
  • Store all product in designated location.
  • Ensure inventory is dated and rotated per schedule.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages when receiving or shipping.
  • Obtain appropriate and authorized signatures on paperwork.
  • Assist in customer pickups, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in inbound and outbound quality assurance processes.
  • Operate and maintain order pickers and warehouse equipment.
  • May operate other specialized equipment to move and distribute freight.
  • Maintain grounds by picking up papers and trash and cleaning parking lot and entrance to building.
  • Maintain stock and merchandise area, keeping it organized and clean.
  • Ensure cleanliness of offices, bathrooms, warehouse floor, truck docks and aisles through mopping, sweeping, and washing.
  • Remove trash daily by emptying trash containers, transporting materials to disposal area, and recycling materials.
  • Clean and sanitize product per Company standard operating procedure.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts.
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation.
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations.

Shift: Friday to Tuesday 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Off: Wednesday & Thursday.

Education

  • Knowledge of the equipment and function of Powered Industrial Trucks for product relocation and safety inspection.

Compensation

Competitive pay rate of $16.50 – $18.00 per hour. Actual pay is based on documented and verified relevant work experience and does not guarantee employment for any specific period. Additional bonus opportunities may be available at the company’s discretion for eligible roles, including leadership and individual contributor positions.
