Job summary

QXO is seeking a warehouse associate in Charleston, SC to operate forklifts, load/unload materials, and maintain accurate inventory. You will work outdoors, follow safety protocols, and contribute to a clean and organized yard and warehouse.

The role supports order verification, documentation, and timely handling of products, with emphasis on customer-first service and reliable transportation to work, often during early morning hours.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment preferred.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation.
• Inspect, organize, and track inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials.
• Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory sheets).
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory.
• Demonstrate daily commitment to safety and wear PPE.
• Preserve a safe and clean work environment including cleaning and painting.

What You'll Do

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials in warehouse and yard
• Work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
• Verify order contents and maintain documentation (pick tickets, inventory count sheets)
• Inspect, organize, maintain, and track inventory
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
• Preserve safe and clean work environment which includes cleaning and painting
  

What You'll Bring

• Experience operating forklifts and other heavy equipment preferred
• must be able to lif tup to 75 lbs
• warehouse experience preferred
• Commitment to providing an outstanding experience to customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective verbal and written communication and a customer-first mindset
• Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus
• Reliable transportation to work and the ability to regularly work early morning hours
