Job summary

SRS Building Products is seeking a Warehouse Associate at our Braintree, MA location. The role involves receiving, stocking, and distributing materials, while maintaining safety and accuracy in daily warehouse operations.

You will log shipments, manage inventory, and assist with loading for deliveries. The job requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs, operate forklifts, and work in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift operator certification preferred.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and inventory software is expected.

Responsibilities

• Receive, count, verify, and unload incoming orders; log and store materials per standards.
• Load outgoing orders onto trucks; ensure proper handling, documentation, and delivery timing.
• Keep warehouse and yard clean and safe; maintain organization and safety practices.
• Manage inventory with proper storage, stock rotations, and discrepancy reporting.
• Collaborate with teammates to foster a team-first culture and productivity.
• Safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment per guidelines.

Position Purpose

The purpose of the Warehouse role at SRS Building Products is to manage the receiving, stocking, and distribution of materials, equipment, and products within the warehouse and branch settings to effectively serve our business customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently receive, count, verify, and manually unload incoming orders and shipments, ensuring all materials are accurately logged and stored in compliance with company standards.
• Execute accurate and timely loading of outgoing orders onto trucks and customer vehicles, guaranteeing correct product handling, documentation, and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment, including general yard and office maintenance, while upholding workplace safety and operational excellence.
• Manage inventory effectively by distributing materials to designated storage areas, conducting regular stock rotations, and reporting any discrepancies or damaged products for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a cooperative and productive work environment, embodying the company's "team-first" attitude and contributing to a culture of mutual success.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently, following all operational guidelines to support seamless warehouse logistics and distribution functions.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

• Responsibilities include lifting/moving up to 100 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Expect exposure to loud equipment, extreme weather, and airborne particles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift Operator certification.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments.

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety.

Minimum Education

Salary

The base salary for this position typically falls within the range of $20.00 to $24.42 per hour. Starting wage may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
