Job summary

Artisan Design Group (ADG) seeks a Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations at the New Berlin distribution center. The role involves organizing materials, ensuring accurate picking, staging, and delivery readiness; reporting to the Operations Manager.

This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of related experience, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and possess basic computer skills for shipping and receiving.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in warehouse, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or related environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Basic computer skills for shipping, receiving, or order processing.
  • Ability to read and write basic English and perform simple math.
  • Valid driver’s license and MVRO standards compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Review orders to determine materials to pick, stage, and distribute.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas with proper handling tools.
  • Pick, verify, and stage will-call and delivery orders; assist customers with loading.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks safely while preserving product integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material flow for timely fulfillment.
  • Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Operate company vehicles for material delivery as needed.
  • Collaborate with team to support daily goals.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

JOB SUMMARY (Day-in-the-Life)

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in supporting daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are organized, handled safely, and prepared accurately for delivery and installer pick-up. This position reports to the Operations Manager and is based at the New Berlin distribution center. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized warehouse environment, assisting with inventory management, and supporting order fulfillment processes. This is a full-time, first-shift position, Monday through Friday. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks on a regular basis. This position also provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in warehouse operations within the construction industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review customer, installation, and shipping orders to accurately determine materials to be picked, staged, and distributed.
  • Move materials between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas using proper handling techniques and equipment.
  • Pick, verify, and stage will-call and delivery orders, assisting customers with loading as needed.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks safely and efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment to support efficient operations.
  • Assist with inventory organization and material flow to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Follow and adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures.
  • Operate company vehicles for material delivery as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to support daily operational goals.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONSRequired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in warehouse, construction, landscaping, manufacturing, or a related environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis without restriction.
  • Basic computer skills for shipping, receiving, or order processing functions.
  • Ability to read and write basic English and perform simple mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, and number sequencing).
  • Valid driver’s license with the ability to meet company motor vehicle record standards.

Preferred Qualifications (nice-to-haves)

  • Previous experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment.
  • Experience with shipping and receiving processes or warehouse systems.
  • Prior on-the-job driving experience.

  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools in accordance with company safety standards
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail when picking, staging, receiving, and verifying customer orders and materials
  • Maintain accuracy when handling inventory, labeling products, and completing basic shipping/receiving documentation
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse team members, supervisors, installers, and drivers to support daily operational flow
  • Exhibit reliability, accountability, and strong attendance to ensure consistent support of warehouse operations
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment
  • Use basic problem-solving skills to resolve order discrepancies, inventory issues, or material handling challenges
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while meeting daily productivity and order fulfillment goals
  • Safely load, unload, move, and stage materials to prevent damage and ensure proper product handling
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes through teamwork, adaptability, and willingness to assist in various tasks as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Lifting/Carrying: Frequently lifts and/or moves items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Mobility: Frequently required to stand for extended periods and move throughout the warehouse or job site to access materials and equipment.
  • Positioning: Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Manual Dexterity: Frequently handles and moves materials using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Vision: Ability to visually inspect materials and identify quality differences.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.

  • Warehouse/Facility: Work is performed in a warehouse and shop environment with exposure to non-climate-controlled conditions (heat and cold), moving equipment, and moderate to high noise levels.
  • Job Site/Field: May require work at job sites with exposure to outdoor conditions, seasonal weather, and varying terrain.
  • Operational Demands: Role may require meeting deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment to support operational needs.
  • Safety: Requires adherence to all safety policies and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.
