Job summary

Freedom Power in Austin, Texas is seeking a Warehouse Associate to handle inbound and outbound shipments, assist crews with material requests, and keep the warehouse organized. Ideal candidates should have at least 1 year of warehouse experience and a valid Driver's License.

This position requires the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and maintain safety protocols. Employee benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as PTO and a 401(k) plan.

Freedom Solar Power is looking for a Warehouse Associate who will handle inbound and outbound shipments, job kitting, loading modules, and routine housekeeping.

Job Duties

• Assist Crews and electricians with material requests
• Assists service department with material requests and locating Returned Merch Authorization (RMA).
• Assist Warehouse Manager with Fleet Maintenance
• Operates various equipment and machines including forklift, pallet jack, and vehicles.
• Hotshot material and Pick up will‑calls
• Refill all itemized bags
• Run recycle and pallet drop‑offs
• Keep parts cage neat and organized at all times
• Reduce material waste
• Ability to do data entry
• Completes any general office and warehouse cleaning
• Assists with other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, and/or Regional Operations Manager (ROM)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of prior warehouse or manufacturing experience, required
• Valid Driver’s License, required
• Prior forklift experience, preferred
• Solar warehouse experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of basic warehouse safety regulations and procedures
• Knowledge of warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Solar and electrical product knowledgea plus
• General computer skills to include Microsoft and Google office, with basic data entry and excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Possess a trustworthy positive attitude and strong problem‑solving skills
• Result‑driven and self‑motivated
• Must have a flexible schedule

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely
• Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift
• Ability to work in 30-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
• Prolonged periods of standing
