Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs in Austin, TX seeks a Warehouse Assistant to support crews and service personnel with material requests, operate forklifts, and maintain inventory accuracy.

The role requires lifting 50–75+ lbs, bending and twisting, and working in varied weather. You will assist with fleet maintenance and help keep the warehouse clean and organized.

Qualifications

• 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Solar warehouse experience preferred
• Able to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely
• Able to bend, stretch, squat and lift
• Able to work in 30-100+ degree weather, wet and dry conditions

Responsibilities

• Assist Crews and electricians with material requests
• Assist service department with material requests and locating Returned Merch Authorization (RMA)
• Assist Warehouse Manager with Fleet Maintenance
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and vehicles
• Hotshot material and pick-up will-calls
• Refill all itemized bags
• Run recycle and pallet drop-offs
• Keep parts cage neat and organized at all times
• Reduce material waste
• Complete general office and warehouse cleaning
• Assist with other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, and/or ROM

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of prior warehouse or manufacturing experience, required
• Valid Driver’s License, required
• Solar warehouse experience, preferred
• Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely
• Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift
• Ability to work in 30-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
