Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Ashland, VA is seeking a warehouse selector to accurately pick products for Wegmans stores. You will work on an overnight schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week, and ensure pallets are built safely to maximize trailer space.

The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, and Vocollect devices. You may lift 20–25 lbs regularly and up to heavier loads as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect preferred.
• Ability to lift 20–25 lbs on average; up to 50+ lbs occasionally.
• Overnight shifts; four 10-hour shifts per week.

As a warehouse selector on our distribution team, you’ll help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores, using your attention to detail and teamwork skills to ensure success.

Work schedule:

Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per week

What You'll Do

• Ensure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer space
• Safely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or Vocollect
• Perform order audits to determine accuracy and quality
• Maintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all products
• Inform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communication
• Maintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirements
• May work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and Vocollect

Note: Frozen positions earn an extra $2.00/hour
