Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate II in Anchorage to support inbound/outbound operations. You will follow SOPs to pick, pack, and ship orders, operate various material handling equipment, and participate in cross-training across warehouse areas.

The role requires safety adherence and adaptation to a fast-paced environment. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with 10 AM starts, occasional overtime, and a $1000 new-hire sign-on bonus, plus a broad benefits package.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of related warehouse experience strongly preferred.
  • High school degree or GED preferred.
  • Experience with material handling equipment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for 8+ hours per shift.
  • Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
  • Comfortable working with heights 20–30 ft regularly.
  • Must work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
  • Adhere to site safety regulations including PPE.
  • Willingness to learn and rotate into various warehouse areas.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOPs to process orders: pick, QC checks, sort, consolidate freight, palletize, wrap, pack, and prepare for shipment.
  • Pick large case items with equipment or small unit items onto designated carts.
  • Cross-train in multiple warehouse areas and participate in projects.
  • Use WMS to check in/out products.
  • Operate equipment such as forklift, cherry picker, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider.
  • Conduct housekeeping and inventory control; maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Handle routine tasks requiring problem resolution.
  • Attend associate meetings and report concerns to management.
  • Perform duties in line with OSHA standards and company procedures.

Job description

Anticipated Pay Rate: $22.70 - $23.40 per hour based on relevant experience

The hourly range listed is an estimate. Pay at Cardinal Health is determined by multiple factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographical location, relevant education, experience and skills and an evaluation of internal pay equity.

Shift Details
  • Monday - Friday

  • 10 AM start (until work is completed)

  • Mandatory Overtime - including weekends and holiday when necessary, based on business needs

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to process orders including accurately picking, performing quality control checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building, and wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and preparing orders for shipment.

  • Pick large case items with material handling equipment or pick small unit of measure items and place on designated cart.

  • Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.

  • Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) to check in and/or send out products.

  • Drive material handling equipment as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility may include order picker (cherry picker), forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

  • Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.

  • Participate in associate meetings and communicate any concerns to management.

  • Perform all job duties in accordance with OSHA standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures set by the organization.

Job Summary
  • The Assoc II, Warehouse Ops assists on Inbound or Outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor meeting quality, safety, productivity and operational standards. Inbound positions receive products into the facility and outbound ships products to customers.

  • Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand and supply.

  • Warehouse Operations is responsible forperforming/controllinga combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
