Job summary

Roadrunner Food Bank of New Mexico is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support product movements, order fulfillment, and general warehouse duties. The role emphasizes adherence to Food Safety and Quality standards and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include operating equipment after training, assisting inventory and returns, and maintaining housekeeping and safety policies. A strong focus on service and collaboration with other teams is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Teams/Outlook).
  • Ability to operate forklifts after training.
  • Comfortable using barcode scanners and data input systems.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Complete forklift training within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Move products in the warehouse and assist with order picking and packing.
  • Operate various warehouse equipment after training (forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Assist with inventory counts, returns, and restocks as needed.
  • Maintain safe food handling and storage per policies.
  • Provide excellent internal/external customer service.
  • Assist other warehouse teams as needed.

Roadrunner® Food Bank of New Mexico, a Feeding America member, is the largest non-profit dedicated to solving food insecurity in New Mexico. As a food distribution hub, we provide food to hundreds of affiliated member partners around the state including food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and regional food banks. Position Overview

The WarehouseAssociateis responsible forproduct movements in the warehouse, supportingthe execution of Food Safety and Quality Team mandates,pickingand putting away orders, wastedisposal, housekeeping, and organizing supplies and materials (pallets, cleaning equipment,etc.).The WarehouseAssociateis responsible forcommunicating any issues involving product placement accuracy, inventory accuracy, safe handling and storage of food, equipment, and suppliesto theappropriate Managers.

  • Performsproductmovements,put-awaysand pick orders as assigned
  • Completestraining for warehousepowerequipment andoperateforklifts (stand-up and sit-down models), manual pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, riding pallet jacks, trash compactor, and bailer
  • Respondsto and executesassigned duties related to findings during Food Safety and Quality Team inspections
  • AssistsInventoryTeam with counts, investigations,andrestocks of returns as needed
  • Removeswaste and / or expired product from buildingin a timely manner
  • General warehouse housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, cleaning racking,cleaningandmaintainingminor equipment, and other related housekeeping tasks
  • Communicatesany issues related to safety, storage of product and equipment, process deviation or anythingimpactingoperations negatively in an effective andtimelymanner
  • Leadsby example and enforcessafety as well as food safety policies
  • Adheresto Roadrunner Food Bank’s Safety policies and mandate from Food Safety and Quality Team
  • Provides excellent internal/external customer service
  • Treats all stakeholders with respect and sets the same expectation with team members
  • Assistsother warehouse teams as needed
  • SupportsJob Training Program by acting as a guide and mentor for Job Training Participants
