Job summary

Backyard Products, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Clerk to support loading/unloading, inventory, and lumber preparation in our Columbia, SC facility. You will assist with day-to-day tasks and maintain accurate stock levels.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient material handling in a mid-size warehouse environment with a strong focus on construction-related products.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Experience in warehouse responsibilities such as loading and unloading product using a forklift.
• Familiarity with construction and/or building materials (knowledge of the construction industry or installed services is preferred).
• Inventory control is part of daily tasks.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product using a forklift or other equipment.
• Load builders and shop trucks accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory, schedules, adjustments, and tracking.
• Cut and prepare lumber using power tools such as panel saws and chop saws for upcoming builds.
• Pull orders and lumber with accuracy for upcoming builds.
• Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in written formats.
• Keep warehouse area clean and organized.

Backyard Products is looking for qualified candidates for our Warehouse Clerk in Columbia, SC. Our National Installation Organization is one of the largest in the industry, with 33 branch locations throughout the country.

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for: loading and unloading product and lumber, pulling kits for upcoming builds, and assisting with inventory and ensuring completeness of day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities: (Other duties as assigned)

• Load and unload product using a forklift or other equipment.

Work Environment:

Operates in a professional office environment as well as within a manufacturing environment subject to inside environmental conditions and noise. Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk. Often required to climb stairs, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
