Job summary

SSP is seeking an entry-level warehouse assembler in Twinsburg, OH. You will assemble fittings and valves, read pick lists, and use hand tools to prepare shipments.

The role requires basic HS education, up to one year of light assembly, and the ability to lift 5–35 lbs while standing for long periods. This is a full-time, nonexempt position with a Monday–Thursday night shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Up to one year of light assembly experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 5–35 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finished products for shipment according to order documents.
• Use hand tools and measuring devices to complete assemblies.
• Read and interpret Pick Lists and shipping paperwork.
• Maintain clean and organized work area following 5S principles.
• Enter labor time data into the company system and support Lean initiatives.

Summary/Objective

Assemble finished product for shipment to customers.

Shift Available:

Monday-Thursday; 2pm – 12am

Essential Functions

• Assemble finished product that includes either valves and/or fittings.
• Cap finished parts as needed
• Use hand tools for various assemblies, and appropriate measuring devices.
• Interpret shipping documents such as pick lists.
• Perform 5S in work area, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
• Enter customer order information into the Company’s computer system for recording labor time.
• May perform other necessary tasks in the warehouse/shipping as needed.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methods and tools to make work process improvements
• Observe and apply department and company Safety policies and procedures.
• Additional tasks assigned by supervisor/manager.
• Knowledge of SSP’s warehouse/shipping processes.
• Knowledge of Company products.
• Skill at eye-hand coordination for assembly operations
• Ability to read and understand Pick List and other customer order information
• Knowledge of Quality ISO procedures and Lean Standard Work
• Warehouse/shipping work environment.
• May require extended work hours
• Lifting and picking up boxes/totes (5 to 35 lbs.)
• Some exposure to cold with overhead shipping door(s) open for short periods.
• Extended periods of sitting at an assembly bench.
• Many hours standing/walking involved (10+)
