Job summary

The Ruth Theater backstage crew handles costume check-in, pre-setting pieces, and rapid changes during performances. They also assist with wigs, set pieces, and post-show cleanup, ensuring costumes are disinfected and ready for the next show.

No formal education is required, but you must be at least 18 and able to work in a busy theater environment, staying calm, organized, and solution-focused.

Responsibilities

• Check in costume pieces before each performance.
• Pre-set costume pieces as instructed by Supervisor.
• Perform quick and other costume changes during performances.
• Post-show cleanup & disinfecting of costume pieces.
• Assist with wigs and set pieces when needed.
• Ensure that repair notes are clear and as detailed as possible.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Location of Work

Works at the theater, with no remote work possible

Duties and Responsibilities

• Checking in costumes pieces before each performance
• Pre-setting costume pieces as instructed by Supervisor
• Performing quick changes and other costume changes during the performance
• Post show clean up & disinfecting of costume pieces
• Assist with Wigs and set pieces when needed
• Ensure that repair notes are clear and as detailed as possible
• Other duties as assigned
