This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and complete medical records while supporting the nursing department with clerical and communication needs to help ensure the delivery of exceptional resident care.Essential ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate and timely resident medical records and documentationAssist the Nurse Supervisor and Charge Nurse with daily clerical and administrative dutiesPrepare, organize, file, and update resident charts and recordsProcess physician orders and ensure documentation is complete and accurateAnswer telephones and communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and staffCoordinate the flow of information between departments to support resident careEnsure all records comply with federal, state, and facility regulationsMaintain confidentiality of resident information in accordance with HIPAA standardsPerform other administrative duties as assigned by nursing leadershipQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience as a Ward Clerk, Unit Secretary, Medical Records Clerk, or in a healthcare administrative role is preferredExperience in a skilled nursing or post-acute care setting is a plusStrong organizational, multitasking, and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesProficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and basic computer applicationsAbility to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary teamWhy Join Canyon Springs Post Acute?At Canyon Springs Post Acute, we are committed to providing exceptional care in a compassionate and collaborative environment.
