Job summary

HunaTek Government Solutions in Stafford/Quantico, VA is seeking a DoW Data Scientist – War Data Platform to design and implement data science, analytics, and data‑engineering solutions within the DoD ecosystem. You will integrate large DoD datasets using Foundry and Advana, build predictive models, and deliver analytics products that inform strategy and resource allocation.

This hybrid role requires strong Python/SQL skills, experience with Foundry/Advana, and the ability to translate complex

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in data science or analytics.
• Experience in Foundry and/or Advana.
• Experience with DoD programs or secure data platforms.
• Hands-on experience with DoD War Data Platform architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and data-science libraries.
• Experience in secure cloud environments with governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop data science solutions within the War Data Platform.
• Design workflows that fuse multi-domain data for warfighter decisions.
• Build and maintain data pipelines in Foundry.
• Develop dashboards and decision-support tools in Advana with PySpark/SQL.
• Ensure analytics comply with DoD governance and data management standards.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and build predictive and prescriptive models.
• Ingest and normalize large DoD datasets.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines with Python/SQL/PySpark.
• Deploy CI/CD patterns for analytics delivery.
• Collaborate with program managers and leaders to translate insights.
