Job summary

SES Corporation seeks a senior WAN/LAN Subject Matter Expert to architect, modernize, and scale enterprise network services across WAN, LAN, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will serve as the senior technical authority for transport, routing, switching, and connectivity, collaborating with cloud, security, and operations teams.

You will design secure, high-availability networks, lead SD-WAN initiatives, and guide vendor integrations across AWS, Azure, and on-prem data centers.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years designing and supporting large enterprise WAN/LAN environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, and network convergence.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and optimize enterprise WAN/LAN, cloud connectivity, and hybrid networks.
• Lead WAN modernization initiatives including SD-WAN adoption and capacity upgrades.
• Design and maintain routing architectures using BGP/OSPF/EIGRP and high-availability strategies.
• Develop scalable connectivity to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and SaaS providers.
• Engineer secure connectivity between on-premises, cloud, and partner sites.
• Support Cisco-based switching, routing, wireless, and network services.
• Evaluate utilization, latency, throughput, and application performance for capacity planning.
• Create architectures for content delivery, load balancing, DNS, and edge networking.
• Perform assessments, root-cause analyses, and remediation planning for complex issues.
• Support network security requirements, segmentation, zero-trust, and monitoring.
• Create diagrams, runbooks, and engineering documentation; mentor staff.
