Job summary

Betsson Group is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our Wallet Development team as we grow in Greece. You will design and implement distributed backend services, focusing on scalability, reliability, and maintainability, while collaborating with product teams to turn engagement ideas into robust solutions.

You'll work with C#/.NET, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and modern cloud/container tech (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).

Qualifications

Strong experience with C# and .NET (modern versions after .NET Core).
Experience designing distributed backend services and microservices.
Familiarity with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
Experience with cloud and containerization (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker).
Knowledge of testing frameworks (xUnit/NUnit) and performance testing.

Responsibilities

Design and develop distributed backend services using .NET and event-driven architecture.
Collaborate with product and commercial teams to turn ideas into scalable solutions.
Optimize microservice ecosystem for performance, reliability, and observability.
Drive containerization and cloud migration strategy forward.
Participate in architecture discussions and shape technical decisions.
Lead architectural decisions for senior engineers when applicable.
Write maintainable, well-tested code and conduct code reviews.
Participate in incident resolution and on-call rotation.
Maintain ADRs, runbooks, and guidelines.
Share domain expertise within the team.
