Job summary

Lumber Specialties, a division of US LBM Holdings, is hiring a Wall Assembler I in Illinois. You will lay out wall components, stock plates, and assemble parts under line leaders, while loading and banding finished materials and ensuring a clean, safe work area.

Required basics include high school education, carpentry experience preferred, ability to read a tape measure and operate basic equipment; overtime may be available, and daily tasks emphasize accuracy, organization, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required.
• Prior carpentry experience preferred.
• Able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
• Overtime availability as needed.
• Must be able to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.

Responsibilities

• Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.
• Stock plates for component set-up.
• Assemble components under the direction of the line leaders.
• Load and band finished materials on carts/pallets inside and/or outside.
• Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials.
• Maintain work area by keeping it neat and organized.
• Assist in the set-up of component assembly process.
• Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
• Operate all equipment necessary to the assembly process.
• Adhere to established safety rules and follows all safety procedures.
• Comply with attendance policy and maintain regular attendance.
• Assist in maintaining an organized work environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Retain awareness of the work environment to produce error-free results.

A Brief Overview

The Wall Assembler I is responsible for assembling wall components. This person will stock lumber, plates and other work-related materials and supplies. Will also band/stack finished products.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.00/hour

What you will do

• Lay out wall component supplies and materials on carts or floor.

• Comply with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
• Assist in maintaining an organized work environment which may include emptying trash receptacles and keeping all bays/staging areas clean and organized.
• Provide excellent customer service and participate in a positive work environment.
• Monitor inventory as required by location management.
• Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.

Education Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent work experience required.

Experience Qualifications
