Job summary

Dimensions Living Oconomowoc is hiring Caregivers and Dietary Aides to provide compassionate care in our senior living community. Walking interviews occur on Wednesdays; come with your resume.

We offer full-time and part-time roles with flexible scheduling and shift differentials. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, supporting meals and social activities, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a dietary aide, caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.
• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.

What You’ll Do (AKA: Your Superpowers)

Deliver Compassionate Resident Care:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Support residents during mealtimes, recreational activities, and daily routines, ensuring comfort and dignity.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and call lights, ensuring safety and attentiveness at all times.

Support a Safe & Healthy Environment:

• Assist with transferring and positioning residents, using proper safety techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor residents’ health and behavior and report any changes or concerns to nursing or leadership staff.

Promote Engagement & Well-Being:

• Build positive, supportive relationships with residents and families.
• Encourage resident participation in social and wellness activities to enhance quality of life.
• Uphold the mission, values, and care standards of Health Dimensions Group in all interactions.

Collaborate with Team Members:

• Work alongside nurses, dining, and life enrichment staff to coordinate and deliver holistic care.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay current on care practices and community updates.

What You Bring to the Table (Besides Your Big Heart)

Experience & Training:

• Prior experience as a dietary aide, caregiver, home health aide, or personal care assistant preferred, but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to complete training upon hire.

Skills & Qualities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to provide care with kindness, patience, and respect for residents' dignity and independence.
• Dependable and flexible with shift availability (including weekends or holidays as needed).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout the shift.
• Able to assist with resident transfers and physical support using proper techniques.

Salary:

Dietary Aide: $17.21 - $19.98 per hour

Caregiver: $19.24 - $22.33 per hour

*Shift Differentials available for caregivers

Dietary Aide Schedule:

Part-time Every other Sunday 7am to 2pm

Caregiver Schedule:

Full-time AMs (32 hours per week) 7am to 3:15pm & every other weekend

Part-time PMs (32 hours per pay period) 3pm to 11:15pm

Full-time NOC (32 hours per week) 11pm to 7:15am & every other weekend

Part-timeNOC (16 hours per pay period)Every other weekend 11:00pm to 7:15am
