Job summary

Southern Illinois Healthcare seeks a dedicated LPN or Certified Medical Assistant for the Center for Medical Arts Walk-In Clinic in Carbondale, IL. You will work with physicians to provide timely ambulatory care, document in EMR, and support patients through treatment plans and referrals.

The role requires a high school diploma, current BLS, and an active LPN or CMA credential. Prior clinic experience and strong customer service are preferred for effective patient navigation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses and Certification: current BLS; LPN or CMA certification.
• Experience: 1 year of clinical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and other caregivers in ambulatory clinic.
• Demonstrate strong communication with care team, patients and families.
• Assist in onboarding and continued education of nursing staff.
• Guide patients and families on treatment plans and resources.
• Document accurately in EMR and maintain patient care records.
• Rooms patients and monitors medications and supplies per policy.
